Power Outage

Hi folks!

Brief version: Ice storm took out power from house and church since early Sunday morning, rumor is we are looking at Wednesday at the earliest. In the meantime we are hunkering down at my parents which is a far better deal now that THEIR power is back on. Let's just say that last night was a very, very cold night.

Yes, I now worship the electricity gods. Is there anything that we take for granted more?

Hope you all are well.

Good thing nothing big is happening next weekend or a week from now...

When those guys from Pike Electric roll into town tell them Hi from us down in S. Louisiana.

They are the bomb. They love steak dinners and will often power up an extra street or two in exchange for a Corona.

And that big thing....well, it last until Jan.6

Oh lovey - that's just not what you needed in any way...thank goodness for parents within reach and restored power there. Keep warm and safe meantime, yes?

Not fun. Remember, we are here if you need to get away... you know, during this dull, stress-free season.

Feeling grateful that the snow turning to icy rain only made the trees pretty, didn't take down the power lines. I bet the Boy thinks it's really neat to camp out at Grandma's! Hope everything is back on soon. And remember - that big thing -- it happens every year.

Nothing I dread more than losing power in the winter.

Hopefully being at the 'rents will provide a mini-break.

Mrs. Fruit's parents have been camping with us while their power is down, which has been fun. They actually sit down and eat dinner like regular grownups.

Their electricity is due back on tomorrow (Wed.). Hope you're up and running as well.
