Conflict Management 101

So our very part time CE/Youth Director just told me he is going out and to the movies rather than put up with the micromanaging powers-that-be at the CE meeting tonight.

I sure do hope is letter of resignation is soon to follow.

You could all take a field trip to the movies and have the meeting there...

Eek. So much for bringing change by being a loving, non-anxious presense... movies, huh?

Hmmm... can't say I haven't been tempted on occasion.. but seriously? He announced this? Good luck, Will Smama!

It all just reminds me of how in seminary we were given lectures on how to have healthy relationships and healthy communication styles and then you get out into the church and you realize that not only does no one else do this but no one else WANTS to do this.

sigh...

I "encouraged" a resignation after our very part time CE/Youth Director decided he would rather worship at another church on Sunday mornings... he didn't see it as a conflict of interest when he told our kids that our worship service was boring...

Good luck!
