8 random things about me...

Quaker Pastor and Songbird both tagged me. Be aware that there are rules I am ignoring:

1) My social security number is a palindrome.

2) I had to look up 'palindrome' to make sure it was the right word.

3)My sister is a revgalblogpal.

4) Due to a freak accident in August of 1999 I only have 9 fingers.

5) The second toe on my right foot is longer than my big toe. It is a family trait that I am a bit bummed my son did not inherit. Must be a recessive gene.

6) I once had gym class with Jon Bon Jovi.

7) I have lost 30 pounds since mid-December.

8) I got into blogging because the Real Live Preacher site asked for your blog url when you went to register on there. I figured I had better get a blog.

Consider yourself tagged.

you always use the 9 finger thing.

it still makes me sad every time you write about it, even in passing. I miss your finger for you.

Did you seriously have gym class with Jon Bon Jovi????

You know Teri, I actually asked another revgal if I should include the 9 finger thing again. She said some probably don't know and I didn't think I would hit 8 without it. Thanks for feeling sad for me. I miss it too and think about it every day.

As for Jon, I did. We were in gym class and he and his body guard were running around the track... actually his body guard was riding a 10 speed.

It was the 80's so I still remember most of the girls just absolutely freaking out and I was just thinking he REALLY needs a haircut.

Which now of course he has and that combined with the fact that he was late to a Today show concert series because he forgot he was carpooling the kids to school that day has made me a bigger fan now than I was then.

Wow, two minutes ago I was not a JBJ fan, but now...

Second toe longer than first means you're good in bed. Maybe for you that's true 50% of the time...?

Your SISTER is a revgal? Who knew? And congrats on the weight loss.

That is SO cool that you and your sister are both revgals.

Also, I am glad you got the advice because I had somehow missed the 9 finger thing. My grandpa lost a finger in WWII, and he used to pretend that he didn't know how to count to 10, he would always mess up the numbers when he got to that finger. My sister and I thought it was hilarious when we were little.

I thought it just meant you were bossy!
Not you personally, of course.

30lb since December...I'm awestruck. What's the secret??
I have a 9 fingered husband, here. He has been without his for something like 30 years now, though.
And why is it so hard to find 8 random things? I really struggled...

I admit I also struggled finding 8, which is why mashed potatoes (which I talk about incessantly) made the list yet again. and my current scotland dreams too....

pondering the relationship between bossiness and sexual prowess

I'll stop now.

It means you're a wonderful person.

I have the longer second toes too. And that' why I started this comment. In my family of origin, it was always explained with bossiness. We don't talk about sex.

I have to go hang out with ministers on teh Internet for taht.

mary beth, so is that tiht for taht?

OK that makes more sense. I had just checked on the weekend how old JBJ is and I really didn't think WS was also that old. BUt one has to admit he has aged well.

My toes are all a perfectly normal length. SO I must not be bossy--anyone want to convince the 3 year old of that?

I'm one of the newbies that didn't know about your missing finger ... since you play softball, is it on your throwing or catching hand?

Now I am really wondering who your sister is. Could we have a guessing contest? Puuuullllleeeeeze?
With a prize?

I'm studiously avoiding commenting on the toes discussion. All 10 of mine point upwards and only really touch the ground when I make the effort to curl them downward -what would that mean?
