Just a place for me to write down some thoughts and maybe get some feedback... maybe not.
Um, I wrote my comments in the other post. But yeah, I'm a believer. Of course I have lower standards. I don't demand bronze and glowing. Anything better than pasty is good enough for me.
Me too, ppb - I am just looking for one step above pasty.
I like the dove for very pale skin -- you can blind people with my legs. Be careful around knees and ankles - -the color collects more in those areas. Exfoliate well before every use and it means what it says about washing your hands and waiting to get dressed. I used the jergins last year for about a week and was very orange - -even with the lightest one. But a friend loves it. you may have to experiment.
I meant to say also that it does not add tons of color, but is a step above pasty, which was also my goal. have fun!
Well, I just noticed today that Peacebang recommends Coppertone's foam. I haven't tried it, but did do the Jergen's Natural Glow thing for a while. It seemed a little yellow to me, and the scent did not appeal.
The image of the boy running screaming from your pale legs makes me laugh..... Sorry, but it does.
Exfoliate. Moisturize. Watch the tricky places--ankles, knees, elbows (assuming you are doing arms). Use the gradual ones--I like Jergens. I put it on at night, let it dry before I go to bed. I do this because it smells bad and I can wash off the smell in the morning.
Thanks Cheesehead... gotta tell ya that last sentence is quite intriquing.
Okay.I don't purposefully put on bad-smelling stuff at bedtime in order to repel my sleeping mate, if that's what you're hinting at. (I don't use that Jergens stuff every night, either. Ahem.)On the other hand, that stuff really *stinks* and I don't want to go out in public smelling like that.
Of course there is always the idea you could teach him to find pasty white a beautiful colour???
