I've Been Outed...

... by myself!

Tonight I had to ask for my board's blessing on a potential D.Min. I say potential because I haven't even applied yet but part of the application is getting your board to say it will support you.

(sarcasm dripping) I am just so excited to have this opportunity to publicly fail at even getting into the program. No really, thank you for that.

Let me tell you this. Any program that would not jump at the chance to have you be a part is not a program that would be worth your participation...

Thank you for all of your support and kind words. I appreciate that. Listing Straight, interesting you should be so powerful in your support because I need you to write a reference letter for me.

And sorry PM, but I am not going to talk about it any more except to say that this is why I cannot go to Festival of Homiletics where I am sure I would have more fun and see my friends. :(

Well, crap. By the time you are back to going to Festival of Homies, I'll probably have the same reason for not being able to go.

But, hey, since this is not about me--

YAY FOR YOU!

Congrats on the first step of the process.

Darn! I was hoping you would be at the Festival of Homies - I get to go this year!! I was really hoping to meet you. Another time...

It will be a wonderful letter of reference. Because it will be honest.

Any program that doesn't jump at the chance to include you isn't worth joining.

Oh! that's been said already...

You da Woman! Don't forget this!

They will want you. If they don't - they you don't want anything to do with them. Trust me!

Congrats on taking this step!

First of all, i just read your sermon title over at revgals and i stopped over to say that i wish i went to your church. And I think you shuld incorporate it into your dmin app. And I really think you should also be allowed to go on a second continuing education that summer. in july. with several of us. and i'll talk to your elders about it. I think i still know one or two....

There is no form... but I did just finish a letter officially requesting your help that will go in the mail tomorrow.

This is the next level of outing myself.

Now if only I had something brilliant to say in those dang essays.
