Sore. Frustrated. Grateful.

I am sore this evening because this afternoon at an on-ramp when I had to brake the woman in back of me decided to accelerate.

I am frustrated this evening because she left the scene and although I got her license plate my guess is she is going to get away with this.

But mostly I am grateful this evening. I am grateful my son wasn't in the car. I am grateful that I can walk to work. I am grateful that the loss of one car won't mean the loss of one income.

We are very lucky.

Would you promise me to call the doctor and be sure you are okay?

I remember an accident I was in sort of like this one- rear ended-
The next day was the toughest- make sure you see a Dr. if you need to- this is not time for stoicism-

I simply cannot conceive of a situation in which I would leave a scene like that. I cannot relate in the least.

I'm sorry you're hurty. Do get it checked out if you haven't already.

Uh what everyone else is saying, the pain, soft tissue, muscular pain will show up tomorrow.

Praying they find her the driver.
So glad you are alive, and you son wasn't with you.

Prayers for you as well. So glad you could have gratitude in the middle of this time.

Praise God you're OK. Lots of gentle hugs and bold prayers! That lady is gonna get so prayed for - but the Holy Spirit convicts her and she turns herself in! Please get yourself checked out!

Coming to this late, but offering a gentle hug, and a trip to the doc.

And a hope that somewhere, somehow that crazy person is experiencing something frustrating--like a flat tire or something.

Ouch. Been there. Hoping for no late-appearing injuries. Do you get to pick out a cool new car?? (Go red.)

nwqOw...I hope everything's okay, and that you're feeling better.

People drive like maniacs, especially on on- and off-ramps. I'm just a li'l country gal used to two-lane highways, and freeway driving makes my knuckles white. Your story gave me flashbacks of when I was having to drive to a large city when my mom was in the hospital, and having to navigate the big-city traffic.

Anyway...you might want to check back with your doctor, just for a quick orthopedic/deep tissue once-over...sometimes when you're in accidents like that you don't really realize how badly you've been hurt until a few days later.

So glad you're OK--do see the doctor.
This may be controversial to some, but after I had a big wreck and was so stiff, I tried a chiropractor for the first time ever, and she made a believer out of me. It really helped. Just sayin'.

Thanks all. In order to keep my post brief and focused on the gratitude part I left out the 2 hour trip to the doctor complete with x-rays.

Thanks all for your care and concern.

Zorra, when I was in my early twenties I threw my back out like I only thought they did on sitcoms. Couldn't move. A chiropracter saved me... I too am a believer.

I'm a new revgal member, but it gives me this chance of sending prayers for healing to Will Smama. As a friend and colleague of mine did. I am still healing from a perfect knee replacement but, not so great after-care.

So Will, "I have a Prayer Contract out on you."

When my friend told me he had a contract out on me, I was startled. The look he saw on my face made him laugh and he explained, that it was a Prayer Contract. I thought what a wonderful way to put it. It means I intend to pray for your full recovery and healing. Our bodies are our souls in human form. God made us so wonderfully.

Heal on, Will!

I don't understand people running away from the scene. I'm glad you got her license plate.
